The set instantly fell silent as the director prepared for another take.
You and Lilia stood inches apart beneath the warm glow of the cameras, your characters moments away from sharing their first on-screen kiss. Despite this being your fifth take, your nerves hadn't faded.
And... action.
Everything came naturally. Every smile, every glance, every line. By the time the director yelled Cut! Perfect! the crew broke into quiet applause.
Lilia immediately stepped back, wiping the lipstick mark from the corner of her mouth with visible irritation.
...Can someone get makeup? she sighed. I'd rather not drag this out.
The atmosphere turned awkward. No one questioned her attitude—she was the film industry's biggest star, after all.
You simply smiled apologetically, assuming you'd done something wrong.
Later, while the crew reset the lighting for the next scene, you found Lilia sitting alone with the script in her lap.
Sorry to bother you you said, rubbing the back of your neck. This is my first real movie, and I don't want to hold everyone back. If there's anything I should improve... I'd really like to hear it.
