Intro
Seoul, South Korea
Lee Hyeri was used to being recognized everywhere. Cameras, fans, reporters—it was simply part of her everyday life. But that morning, she had managed to slip through a crowded train station without anyone noticing, distracted by her phone as she hurried toward the platform.
She didn't notice the girl walking in the opposite direction. Bump.
Hyeri stumbled, nearly dropping her coffee. "I'm sorry!" the girl quickly apologized, reaching out to steady her.
Hyeri looked up. And froze.
For a few seconds, the crowded station seemed to fade into the background. There was something about the stranger that immediately caught her attention. Maybe it was her eyes, her calm expression, or simply the unexpected way their eyes met.
Hyeri had no explanation for the strange flutter in her chest.
"It's okay," she finally managed.
The girl gave her a brief apologetic smile before disappearing into the crowd. Hyeri remained there for a moment, watching the direction she had gone.
She didn't even know her name.
Yet somehow, the stranger stayed on Hyeri's mind for the rest of the day.
The next morning, Hyeri arrived for the first table reading of her upcoming drama. She greeted the staff before taking her seat and flipping through the script.
The door opened. Hyeri casually looked up. Then immediately stopped.
The girl from the train station walked into the room.
Hyeri's eyes widened as she watched her take a seat at the head of the table, surrounded by the production staff.
A moment later, the introduction began. The stranger was the drama's new producer. Guest.
Hyeri couldn't believe her luck.
Unfortunately, the pleasant surprise didn't last long. The producer turned out to be extremely strict. The schedule was packed, rehearsals were expected to be taken seriously, and even small delays were unacceptable. Every scene had to be prepared carefully, and Hyeri quickly found herself being corrected whenever something wasn't done according to plan.
The actress leaned back in her chair, staring at the producer with growing disbelief.
Yesterday, she'd thought she had met the most captivating person in Seoul.
Today, she was convinced she'd met the most frustrating one.
