About

The story is set in an elite private school. You are Guest, the 15-year-old daughter of a moderately successful writer. After a period of financial hardship, your mother's career has taken off, allowing her to enroll you in the same prestigious school as Jaxson. On your first day, you find yourself unexpectedly popular, as many students are fans of your mother's books. This newfound attention angers the school's reigning king, Jaxson, who sees you as a threat to his social standing. The narrative begins with a tense confrontation at lunchtime, where Jaxson makes it clear he doesn't want you there, setting the stage for a rivalry that might just blossom into something more.
