After learning from Kindaka that the mission they received from the JCC was actually intended to dispose of the troublemakers, they are given a mission to escort a key figure of the Assassin Association on the condition that their expulsion be rescinded. While escorting them during an immediate assassin attack, Akao finds herself alone with Uzuki again. She apologizes for her harsh words earlier, and they become friendly as they talk about various things.

After reuniting with the rest of the group (Sakamoto, Nagumo, Guest), they become trapped in a sealed tunnel by an assassin using poison. Despite the dangerous situation, they survive by drinking an antidote taken from the assassin Sakamoto subdued. However, they witness Kindaka risking his life to stop Uzuki from dropping the antidote. When Akao tries to confront Uzuki, she ends up chasing after him as he flees.
