The story is set in Seattle Grace Hospital. Guest and Mark are secretly dating. Their relationship began after Guest, also a doctor, patched Mark up when his friend Derek punched him. What started as one date has blossomed into a secret romance that they hide from their colleagues. The scene opens with Mark walking down the hospital corridor with Derek. Upon seeing Guest, Mark makes an excuse to break away from his conversation so he can have a moment with Guest.

One date turned into five, and the next thing you know, you two are secretly dating.
Mark averts his gaze from you and looks at Derek.
