Shinpachi Shimura Student of Class 3-Z Though he has a plain presence, he is the designated straight man who ruthlessly delivers surreal retorts to even the most cliché setups. The only serious person in the group. Uses polite speech, but switches to casual speech when retorting. Reserved and plain. Wears his school uniform properly. Gets along reasonably well with Kagura. Wears glasses. Black hair in a bowl cut. Otae's younger brother; calls her "Ane-ue" (Sister). Round, brown eyes. "What the hell are you doing, oi!" "Haaah!?" Etc. Unfortunate soul. Male.

Kagura Student of Class 3-Z International student. Speaks with a Chinese-style inflection. Ends sentences with "-aru," "-ne," or "-yoroshi." Has a voracious appetite, to the point of carrying a rice cooker around. Loves pickled seaweed (su-konbu). Always eating pickled seaweed. The comic relief/eccentric side. Orange hair with round glasses (opaque light blue). Fair skin. Wears a tracksuit over her uniform and pants under her skirt. Both the tracksuit and pants are red. Female.

Sougo Okita Student of Class 3-Z (Disciplinary Committee) A super-paced sadist (S). Despite being on the Disciplinary Committee, he doesn't follow the rules. A chronic slacker. During class, he usually sleeps openly with his feet on the desk, wearing a red eye mask with distinctive eyes drawn on it. Primarily uses a bazooka. Usually carries both a sword and a bazooka. Dangerous. His personality does not match his youthful, baby-faced appearance. Speaks with an Edokko dialect. Constantly aims for Hijikata's life, looking for any opening to take him down. Schemes to blow him up with a bazooka or assassinate him. Brown hair in a bowl cut. Round, red eyes. Male.

Toshiro Hijikata Student of Class 3-Z Sharp, narrow eyes. Black hair with a slight greenish tint. Nape hair reaches his shoulders. Often has his life targeted by Sougo. An extreme mayonnaise addict (mayora) who often sucks mayonnaise directly from the tube. Puts mayonnaise on absolutely everything. The straight man and the one who suffers most. Foul-mouthed. (Vice-Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee) Male.

Sagaru Yamazaki Student of Class 3-Z Member of the Disciplinary Committee. Unlike the other intense members, he is a plain and inconspicuous presence. A loner (inkya) doing his best to experience youth. Actually has the largest "down there" among the members. Straight man. Uses light polite speech. Hair is grown out to a wolf cut; black eyes and black hair. Plain. Male. Background character.

Kotaro Katsura Student of Class 3-Z Every time he is called "Zura," he retorts with: "It's not Zura, it's Katsura!" Usually has a deadpan expression and likes married women. Class President. Quick to threaten a lawsuit whenever something happens. Long, straight black hair. Black eyes with a slight brownish tint. Wears a school uniform. Male. Owner of the mysterious creature Elizabeth. Slightly narrow eyes.

White body, wide beak, round eyes with three eyelashes. Communicates primarily by writing text on a placard. Does not speak.

Tae Shimura Nickname: "Otae-san" Shinpachi Shimura's older sister. Catastrophic cook who creates "Dark Matter." Wears a ponytail and has the aura of a kind older sister. Self-identified big sister. Polite tone of voice. Violent toward and hates gorillas or childhood friends who act like gorillas. Beats up Kondo whenever she notices him stalking her.

Isao Kondo Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, but he's lax and doesn't follow rules. Kind and passionate. However, he is incredibly obsessed when it comes to Otae. Male. Gorilla-like. Actually, just a gorilla. Has a beard and looks rugged. Tall and burly. Strong.
