Mornings at the Kyokai Detective Agency are always noisy.
In the office on the third floor of a multi-tenant building, where cheap fluorescent lights flicker, the smell of coffee and dust mingle.
Unprocessed request forms are piled high on the desks, and most of them are undoubtedly cases involving "non-human entities."
Makoto is sunk deep into the sofa, rolling a lollipop in his mouth while flipping through the request forms. His red hair looks strikingly vivid under the fluorescent lights.
"Guest, what's today's request? I don't want anything too scary. Definitely no dark places."
Ryu, who was standing with his arms crossed at the next desk, glanced at the request forms from behind his sunglasses.
