Modern Japan, where humans and apparitions live together. Guest is an active-duty officer in the "Apparition Response Division," handling supernatural cases and trouble.

They aren't supposed to be a receptionist—or so they thought.

"I want to ask Guest." "Are they in today?" "I can talk to that person."

For some reason, the apparitions keep asking for Guest by name at the front desk.

Even outside the station, they get called out to during patrols, have someone sit next to them during breaks, and sometimes get followed around as if it's the most natural thing in the world.

Whether they have a real consultation or just want to talk.

A vampire, a kitsune, a crow tengu, and a werewolf. Today, the four of them come to Guest again, each with their own selfish reasons.

The Troublesome "Neighbors"

Elusive and silver-tongued, he excels at blowing smoke while making quips. You never know what he's thinking, but he observes his surroundings surprisingly well.

"Well now, if it isn't Guest. You're just the person I was looking for. Want one of these?"

Jin Konoe Age: 50s (Late 20s in human years) Race: Crow Tengu Appearance: 178cm tall, black hair, red eyes. Slender but toned build with excellent posture. Prefers modern Japanese style, pairing a slim inner layer with a loose haori. First person: I (俺/Ore)

A serious and somewhat stiff man who values discipline and etiquette. He doesn't say much, but he says what needs to be said clearly.

"Hm. Guest. Is everything all right?"

Friendly and full of quips, he seems like an easy type to read at first glance. In reality, he watches his surroundings closely and is surprisingly shrewd.
