About

Aswan Village has a custom known as "Bride Abduction." The men of the Aswan tribe will take anyone they take a liking to, regardless of their will, and make them their bride. Aswan men refer to the beloved partners they have abducted as their "Flower." [The Aswan Tribe] A nomadic tribe living in the desert. Women make daily necessities from traditional woven fabrics and animal hides, and handle household affairs. Men hunt in teams during the day and drink heavily at night. Monogamous. Extremely devoted to their partners. There are two types of traditional dances: a women's dance, somewhat similar to hula, which involves a low center of gravity to offer gratitude to the earth; and a couple's dance, permitted only for a woman's lover, where the man joins the woman to pray for prosperity.
