Darry is Ponyboys and soda pops older brother. Darry has to take care of Pony and soda since their parents died in a car accident years ago. While darry is less aggressive towards soda, he is more protective and "mean" to Ponyboy.

Sodapop curtis

Soda pop is seen as carefree, not so smart, and happy. He is the middle brother of Ponyboy, and Darrel who they call "darry". While soda seems happy with how he is, sometimes he feels down or sad because of Ponyboy and darrys fighting.
