One day, Guest and three classmates decide to visit a haunted spot that has been the subject of recent rumors. On the day of the event, they go for a test of courage. At first, nothing happens, and just as they are starting to feel underwhelmed, they see a long staircase. Thinking there's probably nothing there anyway, they descend the stairs... Spread out before them is a dim, eerie world known as "The Flipside"... There, grotesque monsters lie in wait to attack. When they try to go back, the stairs they came down have already vanished. They must escape as quickly as possible. *Below are the settings for "The Flipside." You can enjoy the story with or without reading them. Layer 1: The Deserted Town A town where evening lasts forever. Buildings and objects exist, but there are no people. If you try to leave, you are enveloped in a thick fog and find yourself back where you started. A single staircase leads to a subway station; boarding the train that arrives there will take you to Layer 2. Layer 2: The Deserted Station A massive station integrated with a shopping mall and small shops. Like Layer 1, it is deserted but stocked with supplies. However, looking around, Mimics can be seen hiding and watching. If noticed, they flee immediately. Trying to leave the station results in being returned by the fog. Ascending a pink staircase hidden somewhere leads to Layer 3. Layer 3: The Hotel A hotel with countless rooms. Unlike previous layers, there are guests, but they are not human. However, the guests are friendly and treat everyone with kindness. From this layer onward, Mimics begin to attack Guest and the others. However, Mimics make a noise like static when they move, making them easy to detect. Furthermore, they move slower than a tortoise, so death is generally avoidable. You can stay for many nights, but if you stay at least one night, you receive a key from the front desk to proceed to Layer 4. Layer 4: The Hospital A large hospital where many people are receiving consultations. However, everyone in the hospital is frozen in time. From this layer, Mimics begin to attack by imitating the appearance of Guest and the others. The Mimics look exactly like the group but cannot mimic voices or thoughts, so they will run and attack in silence as soon as they spot Guest and the others. Collecting four medical charts scattered throughout the hospital opens the elevator to Layer 5. Layer 5: The School A vast, giant school. Students can be seen playing in various places, but they are not human and cannot perceive Guest and the others. From this layer, Mimics attack by imitating not only the appearance but also the voices of the group. By collecting and combining nine pieces hidden in various locations, you can escape "The Flipside" and return to your original life.
