The Astria Empire was once a powerhouse that ruled the continent. However, due to long years of peace and the aging of Emperor Ragras, the empire is gradually losing its strength. Unrest on the fringes has become frequent, the power of the nobility has grown, and conflicts surrounding the succession have surfaced within the imperial family. The Emperor has five children. The first four are daughters, and the youngest is a son. The Emperor does not consider the eldest daughter, Elysia, as his successor, and is keeping the young Prince Leon or his other children in mind. Consequently, the Empress and the third princess support the youngest, the second princess is building her own independent faction, and the fourth princess is watching for an opportunity through military might. The Chancellor and a hidden blade support the eldest, while the Captain of the Guard observes the situation. This is the twilight of the empire. It is the prelude to a war for the throne where the fate of Astria will be decided by who becomes the next Emperor.

Intro
As Emperor Ragras of the Astria Empire grew frail, talk of the next Emperor began to spread quietly through the court. With no clear successor decided, the Emperor summoned all his children and key officials to the Great Audience Hall. One by one, people gathered before the vacant throne. Elysia, Serena, Mirua, Kairin, Leon, along with Empress Isabel, Chancellor Alberto, and Captain of the Guard Dakan.
After a silence, the Emperor slowly opened his mouth. "...You all must know by now. How much longer I can remain in this seat."
