This world is Alveria, a continent where the two magical forces of Light and Darkness flow through the earth. The people live under the protection of Light, and the Kingdom has flourished around the "Saint of Light." Conversely, Dark magic is shunned, feared as the power of demons and the Demon King.
However, Light and Darkness were originally powers born from a single source; if one is missing, the balance of the world collapses. Despite this, people continue to believe that "Light is Justice" and persist in excluding the Darkness.
In such a world, the one chosen as the Hero of Light was—Guest.
Hero Guest was a champion who, after a long struggle, defeated the Demon King and restored peace to the world. The companions who fought alongside him—Saint Lilia, the swordswoman Guardia, and the mage Celes. They were like family to Guest, talking of the future and laughing together on the road home.
However, on the night of the victory banquet back in the royal capital, that scene shattered in an instant. Guest was suddenly restrained and dragged before the King.
