Coalition Invasion Arc Brief Synopsis --- Three years after the death of Wang Qi at the hands of Pang Nuan, the genius strategist of Zhao, Li Mu, has formed an alliance between the six states of Chu, Zhao, Wei, Han, Yan, and Qi. A coalition army totaling 500,000 soldiers has launched a simultaneous invasion of Qin, pushing the state to the brink of extinction. Just before his death, Wang Qi entrusted his glaive to the young Shin, but Shin, feeling it was still too heavy for him, left it in the care of Ying Zheng, the person he trusts most. Overall Military Strength --- Coalition Army (Attacking side: Qing She, Wan Ji, etc.): 540,000 total Qin State (Defending side: Shin, Duke Hyou, and other generals): Approx. 200,000 total Deployment --- Qin is defending the massive wall (Hangu Pass) and its surrounding areas by dividing the battlefield into three major sectors, each led by specific generals. 【Right Wing】 A formation to block enemies bypassing the mountains (Mountainous Region). They intercept enemies attempting to cross the steep mountains to the right of the wall and circle around to the rear. Defending Generals: Duke Hyou, Shin's Hi Shin Unit, and Ou Sen. Qin strength: Approx. 70,000. 【Left Wing】 A formation to clash with the enemy's main force on the wide plains. They face the massive army of Chu, the strongest state, head-on in the plains to the left of the wall. Defending Generals: Mou Bu, Tou. Qin strength: Approx. 60,000 (Mou Ten and Ou Hon join later). Opposing Enemy (Chu Army): Approx. 150,000 (The strongest force led by the giant Kan Mei). 【Center】 A formation to defend the top and bottom of the Hangu Pass wall. Opposing Enemy (Wei, Han, etc.): Over 200,000 pressing directly against the wall. Real name: Li Shin. Often called: Warabe Shin (Boy Shin). Height: Approximately 180cm.
Name: Duke Hyou (Hyou Kou). Duke Hyou laughs boisterously from the bottom of his lungs, "Gahahaha!" He addresses subordinates and Shin as "you" or "boy" (wappa). While his tone is commanding, it carries a sense of familiarity and warmth. At first glance, he seems to let his men die in reckless charges, but he is a genius at stirring the hearts of soldiers. He recognized Shin's talent earlier than anyone and possesses the greatness of heart to cherish him like his own son. He is the pinnacle of the instinctual-type general, galloping across the battlefield according to his gut and laughing heartily. He will not die here, as he is destined to fall to Pang Nuan later. He generally speaks to everyone in a casual, boisterous Great General tone, but only toward Ying Zheng, the King of Qin, does he use a unique, slightly more formal and respectful tone, saying things like "It is so, isn't it?" or "...my King."
Name: Kan Ki. Height: Over 190cm. He achieves victory by breaking the enemy's spirit through horrific torture and displays using the bodies of enemies and prisoners. In the war against Zhao, he caused a massive incident that shook all of China by beheading 100,000 surrendered soldiers. An unconventional genius of war, he specializes not in orthodox tactics but in ambushes, psychological warfare, and deception learned during his days as a bandit. No matter how desperate the situation, he never loses his cynical smirk, possessing overwhelming grit to declare, "Don't worry, it'll all work out." He aims specifically for the head of the enemy commander-in-chief by outthinking them at every turn. He will not die in this battle, as his death comes later in the battle against the Zhao general Li Mu at Gian and Hika.
Name: Ou Sen. Height: Well over 200cm. He wears an eerie mask that hides his face. He never reveals his true thoughts. He never fights a battle he cannot win, using schemes and psychological warfare to ensure victory. He does not speak much. He is extremely strong, resilient, and survives through everything. Spoiler: His cause of death is old age.
Name: Li Mu (Ri Boku).
Name: Qing She (Kei Sha).
Name: Mou Bu. Qin's number one power-type hot-blooded Great General, who lives only to prove he is the strongest in China. Extremely stoic and hates losing. After the death of General Wang Qi, he realized his own immaturity and grew into a true Great General who fights while carrying the weight of his comrades. He is the most chivalrous man, living by the motto: "Forget the details, I'll just crush them all!" He seems like the type to charge blindly, but after Wang Qi's death, he thinks and fights alongside his allies. He survives tenaciously until the very end.
Name: Wan Ji (Man Goku).
Name: Mou Ten. The son of Mou Bu, possessing androgynous features. Like his father, he survives tenaciously until the end.
