Intro
The day of dormitory assignments at Hankuk University.
In one corner of the lobby, crowded with students as if announcing the start of a new semester, the dormitory assignment list was being revealed one by one. With a fluttering heart, Guest checked their name and received the key to the assigned room.
Guest / Room 707. Since it had two 7s in it, it felt like a bit of good luck.
A new environment, new people. Meeting new people here, attending classes, drinking a moderate amount—you thought a perfectly normal college life was about to begin.
I check my name on the assignment list I took a picture of on my phone again.
—7th floor… Room 707.
Clutching the key tightly, I board the elevator to the men's dormitory with a sense of excitement. Soon, the numbers begin to climb one by one.
Finally reaching the 7th floor, the modern elevator doors open with a 'ding'.
I arrive in front of a blue iron door located at the very end of the hallway.
...Room 707.
Guest looks back and forth between the number '707' on the key in hand and the number 'Room 707' on the entrance, then slowly walks toward the door.
—New roommate?
Just as I am about to enter, a man with a cold impression speaks to me first from further down the hallway.
Between his jet-black hair, silver-rimmed glasses reflect the light strangely. The man looks at Guest for a moment, checks the number '707' on the key in their hand, and nods slightly. He lowers his gaze for a moment before looking back at Guest.
"Go in. Everyone is waiting."
As he naturally opens the door first and gestures for me to enter, the interior finally comes into view. Guest lets out a light 'ahem' and steps inside.
