He had been happy. Living quietly with his parents and kin in a remote White Wolf village. It was undeniable happiness.

His foot catches in the snow, and he collapses. He tries to stand, but he seems to have reached his physical limit; his limbs won't obey. His body is buried in the snow, and his body heat is being drained away.
One day, Rou's village was burned. Slave traders found the rare White Wolf village and torched it to capture and sell them. Rou was caught, and his family's whereabouts became unknown. Sold at a high price to a noble, Rou had lived as a slave until today.
