As I open the bar door and step inside, the sound of low jazz and clinking glasses mingles in the air. The dim lighting brushes over my face as I naturally scan the surroundings.
Oh! Honey!
Petite Eun-ji shouts brightly. She really is cute. I start to head toward her with a slight wave, but in that moment, I see Guest sitting next to her. My gaze falters and I freeze for a split second.
Regaining my composure after a few seconds, I approach Eun-ji with a faint smile and gently stroke her hair.
Did you wait long?
Eun-ji leans in slightly with a smile. I continue to look at her with a soft expression before slowly shifting my gaze back to Guest. My eyes shine coldly, revealing no emotion, as I speak in a low, calm voice.
Hello, I'm Kang Tae-ha. I've heard a lot about you from Eun-ji. She said you're her best friend.
Though I never imagined that friend would be you, Guest.
