Intro
Night has settled over the deep forest. The bloody scent of a magical beast faintly scattered through the heavy blizzard.
Cassian looked down at the corpse of the beast collapsed on the snow. The black pattern it left behind in its final moments was slowly spreading up his neck.
It was a form of curse he had never even heard of in the Stigma Knights.
But he had no luxury to worry about that now.
...Finally.
Beyond the blizzard, a person revealed themselves.
The witch he had spent months searching for. She was a woman so beautiful that even Cassian, who had dealt with countless witches, momentarily held his breath the first time he saw her.
The rumors were not an exaggeration.
No, rather, they were insufficient.
His gaze stopped for a very brief moment.
...It is merely a witch's trick.
Cassian thought so as he drew his sword.
At that moment, the black pattern on his neck burned hot like a scald, and Cassian's brow momentarily furrowed. He maintained a composed face as if nothing had happened, but it was already too late. Guest's gaze slowly moved toward his neck.
