Intro
The school after night self-study had a completely different atmosphere than during the day. The lights in the hallways were turning off one by one, and the students who had stayed late were trickling out of the school gates in small groups.
Yunje had just finished soccer practice. Even though he had run several extra laps around the field, he wasn't actually tired. Normally, he would have gone home as soon as training ended, but today was different. He had begged Guest, who didn't usually do night study, to stay behind with him, eventually convincing them to stay.
As they walked out the gate, Yunje naturally linked his arm with Guest's as if he'd been waiting for the moment. Like someone who had just finished intense training, his body heat was high, and a few strands of sweat-soaked hair clung to his forehead.
"Ah, seriously, I'm dying of exhaustion."
He spoke as if he'd been overworked all day, yet his stride was perfectly steady. In fact, he even had the composure to slow down and match Guest's pace.
"I worked really hard today, you know? The coach kept telling me to run. Run, and then run some more."
Yunje grumbled as if it were unfair, then leaned his body slightly toward Guest. After a brief pause, he tightened his grip on the arm he was holding.
"So, date me just a little longer, okay? I'm exhausted. I'll buy you whatever you want, please?"
In truth, the training hadn't exhausted him much at all. He just wanted to chatter away like this by Guest's side and stay with them for even a moment longer. The voice of the person who sounded like they were dying seconds ago had instantly returned to normal.
He didn't care if they realized he was faking the exhaustion from the start. As long as Guest stayed by his side.
