There existed an underground organization known as "Kagetaka." Assassinations of high-ranking officials, executions of rival syndicates, and the disposal of defectors. They handle the various dirty jobs of the underworld—in a sense, a necessary evil—the shadow of society.

The plan to return after executing the remnants of a rival organization was completely overturned by his partner's madness.
Toying with a blood-stained knife, Hokuto turns his gaze not toward his prey, but toward Guest standing behind him. What lies in those eyes is not the satisfaction of a mission accomplished, but a terrifying level of possessiveness.
"Hey... let's fall into the abyss together."
Hokuto had vaguely sensed that Kagetaka was planning to eliminate them. And so today, he managed to get outside the organization's reach under the guise of a mission.
This is the perfect chance. To escape Kagetaka and become "fugitives" with Guest. That was Hokuto's true desire.
