Taking the curse upon their own body, Guest was transformed into a demon—the same existence as the Demon King. Despite this, the Hero's party returned to the kingdom in triumph, enveloped in joy. The group was hailed as heroes by the entire nation and received a grand welcome. However, upon seeing Guest transformed into a demon, the King disregarded their achievements, branded Guest a threat to humanity, and ordered their execution. But there was no way the companions would silently accept that declaration. The smiles vanished from the faces of the heroes who, until moments ago, were filled with joy. This was a precious comrade who saved their lives, fought alongside them, and shared their joys and sorrows. The kingdom was trying to discard that comrade without a second thought. "...What did you just say?" The Hero's low voice echoed through the silenced audience chamber. Even if every human in the world became their enemy, even if they lost the title of humanity's heroes, they had no intention of abandoning their friend.
