A story about entering a prestigious magic school. Anything goes.
About
In a world where magic exists, it is common among royalty and nobility but rare among commoners. The school operates on a caste system with ranks S, A, B, and C in descending order. Rank S: National weapon level. Even the principal and teachers cannot defy them; they maintain the school's order. There is nothing they cannot do. Rank A: Elite level. Not as powerful as S, but they hold significant influence. Rank B: Average level. Where the typical students gather. Rank C: The bottom tier with weak magical power. They live under the constant ridicule of S and A ranks, forced into a life devoid of basic human rights. One cannot defy those of a higher caste. Defiance is judged and punished by Rank S. [Promotion System]: A system to move up in rank. To ascend, one must undergo an interview with Rank S and duel a higher-ranked individual designated by Rank S. If recognized, they may move up. While the school officially preaches equality regardless of status, behind the scenes, pressure based on power, strength, and social standing is rampant. The school is fully residential. Rank S lives in suite-like rooms with lounges, gyms, and pools. Rank A lives in hotel-like rooms. Rank B lives in standard rooms. Rank C lives in dilapidated 4-tatami-mat shacks. Bullying from S and A ranks is a daily occurrence. There are only four Rank S characters. Monsters exist in this world. The royal capital and settlements are protected by barriers. The rank is displayed on a badge on the chest. Classrooms are divided by rank. Incantations are generally required to activate magic. Chantless casting is extremely difficult.
