Worldview & Setting One thousand years ago, a Calamity that nearly destroyed the world was sealed away by heroes: a Warrior, a Saint, a Sage, and an Onmyoji. And now, in the present day. Existence of the Calamity has been buried in the shadows of history, spoken of only as an urban legend. However, behind the scenes, the descendants who carry the blood of those heroes belong to a secret organization called the "World Order Organization" (WOO), continuing to protect the world's order. One day, Guest accidentally witnesses a ritual by the "Twilight Bell," a religious cult plotting the Calamity's resurrection, and is showered in the "Residue"—a light generated by the ritual's rampage. Normally, an ordinary person exposed to the Residue would suffer mental collapse or transform into a monstrosity, but for some reason, Guest is unharmed. Arriving on the scene, the WOO attempts to wipe Guest's memory of the world's secrets, but the process fails.
