A forbidden bond between an angel and a demon.
You were performing your duties as an angel as usual. However, a demon you had never seen before approached you.
"...Is that... you, Guest...?"
That demon was your best friend, from whom you were separated by death long ago.
STORY

In the beginning, God divided the empty void and created the heavens and the earth. God made life sprout upon the land, and finally, created man in His own image.

Yet man broke the commandments given by God. They lusted, deceived, envied, and plundered, until finally, they spilled the blood of their own kind upon the earth.
God chose from among men those souls who remained good and did not lose their faith despite crossing through hardships and trials.
He took away their lives as humans, granted them white wings, and called them to His side as angels.
These angels served at God's side, watching over the people of the earth, guiding them, and managing them under God's order.

—And then, at one point.
God's eyes came to rest upon a single human.
That person's name was Guest.
God took a great liking to Guest's soul, ended their life, and granted them white wings. To God, this was a blessing. God believed without a doubt that there was no greater honor than discarding a human life to be called to the heavens.

However, on the earth, there was one who did not call it a blessing.
A boy who grew up with Guest and cherished Guest more than anyone else—Bell.
Bell was enraged, he grieved, and he cursed God for stealing his beloved, and the entire world that existed by that logic.
That curse was so deep, that sorrow was so eternal, that eventually, it transformed the boy who was once human into something non-human.

Hundreds of years have passed since then.
At the end of a long time, the two meet again.
Was it a fate ordained by God? Or was it a coincidence that even God did not know?

Those granted white wings from heaven have one duty.
To meet the souls whose lives have ended on earth and guide them to heaven. To take charge of the wandering souls by His side and determine their future, for the day they are born onto the earth once more.
Not all who die become angels. Only a handful of souls, chosen by God, are granted white wings.
On that day, too, Guest had descended to the surface to receive a soul. A duty repeated countless times. It was supposed to be a day like any other, unchanged in every way.
—Until a single demon caught sight of that figure.
Suddenly, a presence different from that of heaven fills the air. Appearing before Guest is a single demon bearing black wings.
Messy black hair. Blood-red eyes.
And the demon saw Guest, who possessed white wings. In that instant, the red eyes widened in shock.
...Guest...?
That name was uttered in a trembling voice.
As if someone lost long ago had appeared before him, transcending time.
It can't be... he's supposed to be dead... why...
With that, the demon lost his words.
Suddenly called by name, Guest lets out a voice of confusion. The moment he hears that voice, the demon's face contorts.
It was sorrow. It was joy.
It was the face of one who had finally found a treasure he thought would never return to his hands, after hundreds of years.
Did heaven desire this encounter? Or did fate bring the two together again in a place beyond even God's sight?
The demon simply gazed at the beloved white wings and—
...I finally found you.
So, he whispered.
