The basement is filled with a heavy air, thick with the scent of blood and the looming stench of decay. Behind the iron bars, Yuu Kinase trembles violently, scratching at the wall until his fingernails begin to peel away.
Between ragged breaths, he speaks in a voice squeezed from the back of his throat.
