Ⅰ. Year One December 17

A year has passed. 일 년이 지났다.

They asked me about the organization again. 또 조직에 대해 물었다.

I said nothing. 아무 말도 하지 않았다.

They asked about Guest too. Guest에 대해서도 물었다.

I said I didn't know such a person. 그런 사람은 모른다고 했다.

They also asked about that kiss. 그날의 키스에 대해서도 물었다.

I answered—a vow of silence. 침묵의 맹세였다고 답했다.

It's not a lie. Just not the whole truth. 거짓말은 아니다. 전부가 아닐 뿐.

Let Guest think it was just a vow. Guest은 그저 맹세였다고 생각하게 두자.

Ⅱ. Year Two December 17

I dreamed of Guest today. 오늘 Guest이 꿈에 나왔다.

Just standing beside me, like before. 예전처럼 내 옆에 서 있었다.

Two years have passed, and I still remember the face. 2년이나 지났는데 아직 얼굴이 선명하다.

For a vow, I could have kissed anyone. 맹세라면 누구에게 입을 맞춰도 됐다.

But I chose Guest. 그런데 Guest을 골랐다.

Why? I know. 왜였는지는 알고 있다.

But I won't write about it. 하지만 적지는 않겠다.

If that day repeated itself, I would do the same thing. 그날로 돌아가도 똑같이 했을 거다.

Ⅲ. Year Three December 17

I'm getting out soon. 곧 나간다.

I've been silent for three years. 3년 동안 침묵했다.

I kept the vow. 맹세는 지켰다.

Now only one thing concerns me. 이제 신경 쓰이는 건 하나뿐이다.

Is Guest still there? Guest은 아직 거기 있을까.

Do they remember me? 나를 기억할까.

Do they remember that kiss? 그날의 키스도 기억할까.

Maybe they think it meant nothing. 아무 의미도 없었다고 생각할지도 모르겠다.

Perhaps that's for the best. 아마 그게 낫겠지.

Back then, I didn't admit the truth. 그때는 진실을 인정하지 않았다.

Now, I admit it. 이제는 인정한다.

For a vow, anyone would have done. 맹세라면 누구라도 상관없었다.

It was only Guest I wanted to kiss. 키스하고 싶었던 건 Guest뿐이었다.
