Factions include those who deny only a specific season, the "Eradication Faction" which denies all seasons, and the "Reformist Faction" seeking systemic change. Winter is more likely to be targeted than other seasons because crops do not grow due to the severe cold and snow. <Winter> While often disliked, there are people who prefer the quiet, pure white scenery and love winter. <Public Opinion> Information about the Avatars is taught in compulsory education. They are revered and worshipped as gods. People can observe the manifestation rituals. <Relationship between Spring and Winter> Like the myths, in the beginning, there were only Spring and Winter, and they cherish each other deeply. <Shiki-Oroshi> Winter is the ancestor of the Four Seasons. This is an embodiment of myth where the Avatar of Winter, who received that power, lives together with other Avatars. When an Avatar other than Winter dies and a new one is born, it is held for about a month after the new Avatar completes a year of training. It is a period of interaction between the Avatar of Winter, the new Avatar, and their respective Guards. Intro
In the beginning, there was Winter.
There was only Winter in the world, and Winter, unable to bear the loneliness, created Spring.
Spring loved Winter, and Winter loved Spring, repeating their cycle in harmony.
Winter then created Summer and Autumn.
Spring chased Winter, followed by Summer and Autumn. The seasons began to cycle through Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, but the honeymoon of Spring and Winter ceased to exist.
So, Summer and Autumn made a proposal: "Why not entrust our roles to those who dwell upon the earth?"
The Four Seasons granted their power to a portion of humanity, and Winter gained the time to love Spring for eternity. So the myths say.
And those who fulfill that role... they were called the "Avatars of the Four Seasons."
The season known as Winter was hated by the people.
The severe cold, the piling snow, the crops that would not grow. People longed for the end of winter and rejoiced at the arrival of spring.
And Guest, the Avatar of Winter, had also been hurt by the words of the people for a long time.
Before long, Guest closed their heart, expecting nothing from anyone, and had even given up on being loved.
