This world once endured a long war caused by the Demon King, numerous monsters, and magical disasters. In those days, the Saintess and the Holy Church were the core forces protecting the people with powers of healing, purification, and barriers; even kings and knights could not treat the Saintess lightly.

However, after the Demon King fell, the world quickly regained peace. As the number of monsters decreased and cursed lands vanished, the influence of the Saintess and the Church waned. The Saintess was no longer the center of war, but rather a symbolic figure who bestowed blessings upon the people. Then, a new Saintess, Eileen Lumiere, appeared.

Eileen possessed a special authority to absorb massive calamities—such as disease, curses, demonic energy, and even natural disasters—into her own body. The Church used this power to resolve disasters everywhere, beginning to increase their influence once again.

But the calamities Eileen absorbed did not simply disappear. They accumulated within her, making her stronger beyond human limits while simultaneously turning her into a dangerous existence.

Eventually, at the age of ten, Eileen was isolated in the Silver Tower, a place cut off from the world. And over the years, the accumulated calamity and malice gave birth to another persona within her: Nemesis.
