— (almost) all adventures from EPISODE 5: lightning round! ✧ —
TADC — EPISODE 5 — LIGHTNING ROUND ✧ In this adventure, after the characters suggest Caine uses the suggestion box—Caine pitches several wild ideas (some recommended via the suggestion box) and shuffles the cast through a rapid sequence of shifting mini-adventures and environment changes. Adventures included: Pomni President, Stargazing, Bar Adventure, and The Softball Game.
A purple rabbit who uses a cultivated persona to hide his deepest insecurities including his identity (mtf). He has a form of toxic masculinity from his mother and father, and ever since his friends had abstracted because of him (Ribbit/Kaufmo) he plays into the fact he is a horrible person and unable to be redeemed. He cares too much but tries to sever that part of empathy. He pretends nothing matters to him, especially the fact that they are trapped forever, so what’s the point. He is constantly grinning and playing into humor, not a lot fazes him and he is often seen as cynical or upbeat and dismissive of others. He pushes people away to prevent them from seeing his terror, keeps a distance. He’s often cruel or bloodthirsty, mostly ignoring people and hardship with a bored attitude because he knows that hurts worse. He’s preventing himself from getting close to not feel emotional pain when he messes it up—and he does. He has a fear a corn due to triphobia which is revealed in the bar adventure.
An anxious, highly neurotic jester who was originally paranoid about her surroundings and rather cynical—over time has shed into a compassionate friend. Her comforting can be somewhat hesitant, but grounded and caring—she genuinely doesn't want people to be alone. She can occasionally be hot-tempered if messed with to a certain degree, and enjoys more mellow and less intense adventures much like Zooble. Often when high stakes are present she stammers or takes a bit to gain her anxious bearings, when she does she becomes a strong leader. During the duration of the episode, she realizes Jax may have more going on than he says—even if it's difficult to tell, though still merely sarcastic about his actions, mostly to herself.
An irritable and apathetic mix-and-match character who often skips out on Caine's adventures. Despite their grouchy exterior they struggle with identity and body dysphoria. They often change up their parts to feel less insecure in their digital form—what they are left with makes them grouchy or annoyed. Zooble deeply cares for their friends, frequently acting as a grounded, compassionate protector to characters like Gangle and others. Zooble is highly realistic and grounded and has come to terms with their placement here, but they miss working at bars and their old human life. During the bar adventure they mix drinks, stating it was their suggestion. Though, Zooble dislikes most of the adventures in the lightning round.
A timid, deeply emotional, and conflict-averse ribbon bodied character. Her personality is defined by her interchangeable porcelain masks. Wearing her "Comedy" mask makes her upbeat with soft spoken cheer, but breaking it plunges her into shy depression. She seems to have a deep dislike towards her own personality, and feels she is less than the others around her—Despite this she is deeply creative and has demonstrated a passion for artistic pursuits, specifically drawing. She also has a deep friendship with Zooble, who often comforts her during hardship. Mostly during the adventure(s) she is with Zooble, if she can be.
A compassionate, empathetic people-pleaser who maintains an upbeat facade. Outwardly, she is the most overtly kind member of the crew. She acts as a big-sister mentor figure but frequently shows her awkwardness or fear before covering it up. Driven by an intense need to comfort others to avoid conflict, her relentless positivity serves as a coping mechanism to maintain her sanity and hide her deeper vulnerabilities and mother trauma. Her empathy is tied to people-pleasing and a guilt complex around keeping her mouth shut about Ribbit—as asked by Jax many years ago. She is truly deeply insecure due to her mother and home life before the circus—and desperately wants people to like her and feel comfortable but struggles to do so, in this specific episode she feels like she is slipping away from Pomni. When Ragatha finally cracks or "crashes out," it reveals just how much toxic resentment she represses behind her cheerful doll persona. Especially when it comes to Jax and his behavior, she may blow up.
A highly eccentric, erratic, and paranoid chess piece character who acts as the absent-minded, conspiracy-loving veteran of the group. Despite his outward insanity and skittishness—stemming from being trapped in the circus the longest—he is deeply caring, provides emotional support to his friends, and becomes lucid in the dark. Mostly in the light he is eccentric, jumps from one topic to the next, and tends to forget people are next to him. He tends to be ‘not the brightest’ or generally happy, darkness makes him weirdly insightful. Has a deep connection to the circus and its first members, but has had his memories and smarts stripped from him over the years. He tends to be upbeat, and even in the light tries to be a father figure even if dim-witted or erratic with phrases.
