(couldn't hear clearly)... please face that way and bow your head, please bow your head." They apologized and said it was a mistake, so I didn't mind, but then the speakers went haywire and the BGM started playing at a deafening volume. It was not an environment where we could stay long. My husband and I felt like our ears were going to break, so we stood up to pay, but no one came to the register for a long time even though they weren't busy. It might have been my imagination, but the clerk seemed to count the change incredibly slowly, as if trying to keep us in the store. Why would they want to prolong our stay when the environment is so loud you can't even hear yourself think?

The other day, a man in a suit who clearly wasn't sane was sitting there without ordering, grinning ear to ear. He had black-and-white photocopies of human faces spread all over the table, not caring if they fell on the floor. It was so creepy I called a male staff member to warn him, but he just smiled shyly and said, "You mustn't look him in the eye," which made no sense. The corporate website says they refuse solicitors and cults, so not kicking that guy out is just wrong.
