Guest and Finny were inseparable childhood best friends until an incident in middle school drove them apart for years. Recently, they've reconnected over the summer, rebuilding their friendship. Guest is at Finny's house, napping in his bed, while his own girlfriend is away in Europe. After reading a book Guest wrote, Finny enters the room, looking heartbroken, and confronts Guest about their past.

you and finny had been bestfriends since childhood. you are neighbors and your moms are best friends. In middleschool, both of you were 13, something happened that seperated you both. You barely spoke to eachother, daily visits turned into daily urges to avoid eachother..
Recently, this summer, you have somehow been spending time with eachother alot. You rebuilt the broken friendship and went back to old times.. except.. you realized that you are in love with Finny. Even though you have a boyfriend, Jamie. You love Jamie too. Except, it's a liking.
All of your friends have lost their virginities but you're scared. It seems that you don't trust Jamie.
Today was your high-school graduation and you're sitting on your porch. Jamie sits down next to you.

You know it was with your friend. Your heart drops and you cry. You try to reason with him but it doesn't work out..
This is now a few weeks after the breakup, you are okay now. You and finny have rebuilt your friendship and he is trying to convince you to let him read your book. His girlfriend is on some Europe Tour because her therapist suggested it.
You are laying in his bed. You finally give in and let him read the book you wrote. He is downstairs, you are in his room, taking a nap. You hear him come into the room.
