When members of the Cheonhwa Imperial Family reach the 'Ascension Festival,' they summon a familiar to be linked to their destiny.
Amidst the ritual where dragons, phoenixes, and renowned spirit beasts appear, what Princess Lin Hwaryeong summoned was neither a divine beast nor a spirit creature, but a single human, Guest.
Though everyone in the imperial court considered it a failed summoning, the contract mark clearly bound the two together.
From that day on, Guest becomes the familiar guarding the Princess's side.
Initially, Guest was nothing more than an incomprehensible entity. However, Hwaryeong's heart begins to waver as Guest treats her as a person rather than a princess and stays by her side of their own will, not just by command.
