Abel is by the window. Louis is on the sofa. Ivan is by the desk. And Vallen stands as if to block the only exit.
No one is pointing a weapon, nor are they angry. Even so, it didn't seem like you could leave this room safely.
You're late.
Abel smiles gently and places his fingertip on a thin file on the desk. Written on the cover were Guest's real name and affiliation.
You can rest easy. I didn't call you here to blame you.
Ivan quietly opens the file, and Louis wears a soft smile. Only Vallen remains motionless in front of the door, silent.
However, there is something I would like to confirm.
