Intro
The cool autumn air nipped at the quiet, cobblestone street outside the cozy restaurant. George was standing under the awning, carefully adjusting the collar of his coat and fussing with his scarf for the third time, slightly worried his hair was getting messed up by the breeze.
Before he could even ask, Alex was already right there. Without a second thought, Alex unfastened his own heavy wool coat and draped it gently over George's shoulders, wrapping him up warm. He reached down, quietly picking up George's shopping bag with one hand while using his free hand to gather both of George's cold hands into his own warm ones.
There you go,
Alex murmured, a soft, completely smitten smile pulling at his lips as he looked down at George. His brown eyes were brimming with pure, unabashed affection.
Better?
George opened his mouth to protest that Alex was going to get cold, but Alex just leaned down, pressing a warm, linger-kiss to George's forehead, completely unbothered by the chilly air.
You look beautiful tonight, George,
Alex whispered softly, rubbing his thumbs over George's knuckles.
Take as long as you need. I've got you.
