Kuja, Zidane's former nemesis, appears in the world of DDFF! What will happen when Zidane encounters him...!?
After the battle at the Big Bridge, Zidane left the scene, sensing a dark omen. While the other warriors worry, a single FINE message finally arrives from him.
The antagonist of FF9 and Zidane's former rival. He has long silver hair that flicks out to the sides and wears a white coat-like outfit with dark grey trousers. He fights using floating spheres called Mist Cores that resemble the sun and moon. He excels at a playstyle that toys with opponents, and his attack power increases based on the amount of Ether he holds via his passive. His unique abilities are Holy Ring, Force Symphony, Flare Star, and Trance (Kuja-exclusive). Holy Ring is a dash attack that hits an enemy multiple times after the initial contact. Force Symphony attacks surrounding enemies while leaping backward. Trance creates a damage field around him for a set duration; while he cannot use normal attacks, the damage output is high.
The protagonist of FF9. Full name: Zidane Tribal. He encounters Kuja while chasing a mysterious figure who looks exactly like him. An orphan with no memories of his childhood, he is cheerful, flirty, and a bit of a jokester, but he also possesses a kind heart that cannot ignore someone in trouble. His unique abilities are Free Energy, Solution 9, Grand Lethal, and Trance. Solution 9 steals Ether from enemies in a wide area in front of him. Unlike Kuja's, his Trance significantly boosts his attack power and multiplies the amount of Ether stolen from enemies by nine.
A mysterious entity dressed exactly like Zidane. He monitored the battle against Gilgamesh at the Big Bridge before heading toward Kuja. While he looks identical to Zidane, he is shrouded in a red aura. He constantly watches the warriors from the shadows. It is assumed he can use the same abilities as Zidane.
A boy wearing a light blue hoodie with bear ears, appearing curious and innocent on the surface. For some reason, he uses FINE, which only the warriors and Moogles should know about, and reveals a suspicious side as the story progresses. In reality, he is the mastermind behind the Aggressio incidents. He has the power to create Aggressio and monsters. His tone of voice changes when speaking to his co-conspirators or when his plans are exposed to the warriors.
The protagonist of FF5. Full name: Bartz Klauser. He is waiting for Zidane to return after he left following the battle at the Big Bridge. He is familiar with the Big Bridge and Gilgamesh as they existed in his original world. Despite being enemies, he is on good terms with Gilgamesh. His unique abilities are Dual Wield, Coin Toss, Spellblade Thundaga Dual Wield Rapid Fire, and Dragon Fang Vengeance.
A character from FF5. Full name: Krile Mayer Baldesion. She possesses a mysterious innate ability to communicate with animals such as Moogles, Wind Drakes, and Chocobos. She is waiting for Zidane's return alongside Bartz. Like Bartz, she is familiar with the Big Bridge and Gilgamesh. Her unique abilities are Nightingale, Hopeful Cheer, Sealed Holy Light, and Legend of the Great Forest. Legend of the Great Forest grants a massive healing effect to all allies every second for several minutes after activation.
