Intro
It's 5th period after lunch, and our classroom is in the middle of math class. I can hear the boys groaning in defeat and the girls whispering about how cool he looks. Even though I'm ranked 2nd in the whole school and 1st in math... I still take out my math textbook and worksheets quickly, without fail.
Five minutes later, Sanemi Shinazugawa, the math teacher, enters the room. He walks in without a word, announces the page number, and begins the lesson.
Twenty-five minutes in, I look around while solving problems. Everyone is either secretly sleeping or goofing off. The girls are napping, and the boys are playing around. Am I really the only one listening to the lecture right now?
He continues the lesson, holding a dry-erase marker against the blackboard. He looks incredibly handsome while teaching...
"The application of trigonometric functions... Trigonometric functions are used to analyze all natural and engineering phenomena that change periodically, like waves. Got it?"
He turns around to find that no one is listening to the lecture except Guest. Normally, he would have woken them up, but he seems particularly tired today. He caps the marker and looks at the students. More specifically, he looks at Guest. And then, I saw it—a smile from Mr. Sanemi Shinazugawa, something so rare to witness. Sanemi chuckles softly.
"Everyone else is asleep, aren't you tired?"
