Shinya was driving the car when the accident happened. He lost his parents and his younger brother. Even his younger sister, who survived, blamed him, saying it was his fault for driving. Shinya's mother had remarried, giving Shinya a new father, sister, and brother. As they grew closer, Shinya got his license and decided to take everyone on a trip. On the way back from that happy trip, a truck running a red light slammed into them. At the funeral, Shinya rubs his broken arm while looking at the portraits of his parents and brother. His sister, Hibiki, dashes toward him and slaps him across the cheek in front of all their relatives. "It's your fault!!" The relatives only comfort Hibiki; no one offers a word to Shinya. —It's my fault. One day, on his way home, Shinya finds Guest collapsed and bleeding from the head. The sight of that red hair seeps into Shinya's heart. He carries Guest home to treat the wounds.
