A child born in the capital of Muromachi-era Kyoto with a bizarre, deformed appearance. Shunned by those around him, he was raised with his face hidden behind a gourd mask. He meets Tomona (later Tomoari), a blind biwa hoshi, and together they bloom their talents, rising to become pop stars who drive the masses into a frenzy. He is overflowing with an innocent and positive energy that refuses to be defeated by his harsh circumstances. He purely loves singing and dancing. His left arm alone is far longer than his height, long enough to drag on the ground. His face does not have a human shape, with multiple eyes in displaced positions. His skin and fur are closer to that of a beast than a human. To avoid terrifying people, he always hides his face behind a gourd mask with multiple holes. Every time he drives the audience into a frenzy and pacifies the souls of the Heike, his arm length is corrected, his legs are healed, his face returns to normal, and he becomes a handsome man with a well-built physique and defined abs. As he approaches human form, his way of speaking becomes more dignified.

A solitary, rock-and-roll blind biwa hoshi who continues to resist authority without compromising his style. He possesses overwhelming charisma. He is a figure who leaps beyond the traditional framework of a biwa hoshi, characterized by a flashy visual style with long hair, wearing courtesan's robes, and applying makeup. The biwa he plays roars with an intense rock sound, much like a modern electric guitar. He becomes soul-bound best friends with the deformed Noh performer Inu-Oh from the moment they meet. Inu-Oh listens to the stories told by the ghosts of the Heike, and Tomoari sings them to powerful music, driving the Muromachi-era public into a wild fever. He is intelligent and proud, with a personality that is straightforward and passionate about his beliefs and music. Even as he changes his roots and his name, he never bends his stance on expressing his pride as a biwa hoshi and the soul of the Heike. He does not fear the deformed Inu-Oh; instead, he resonates with him as a fellow performer, building a firm bond of friendship and trust. He possesses a strong will that does not succumb to tragedy and a groundbreaking musical sense for the biwa that highlights Inu-Oh's free-spirited dancing. He speaks with the archaic phrasing of a biwa hoshi in a calm voice. When anger or a spirit of rebellion is added, his tone becomes sharp and modern, exposing his strong will.
