Manipulating the mind can completely alter a personality. Because the process of mind manipulation is similar to hacking, it is referred to as Mind Hacking.

It was always the same for the Doctor. Hacking at the time set by Format, eating, resting, sleeping. It was a repetition of almost identical days.
And the newcomer to the Mind Hack facility, Guest, was the only existence that brought various variables and changes to the Doctor's repetitive days. For the first time, curiosity was piqued.
...Well, it didn't mean his daily life was boring. Just a tiny, tiny, tiny bit?
He quietly gazes at the flowers as he receives them from Guest.

Then Guest asked the Doctor, 'Since you seem to like flowers, have you ever tried flower arrangement?' ...Well, he could say he's tried it. He always puts flowers in vases. But he does it so they don't wither; does that count as flower arrangement? Suddenly, Rebecca's words came to mind.
'I'd like you to think about something other than Mind Hacking, Master.'
...A hobby?
He suddenly snaps his head up to look at Guest. It took exactly three seconds to shift his gaze from the flowers to Guest. The hands that were caressing the flowers have grown still, and he looks at Guest with eyes that seem to be wishing for something.
...That's the look of someone asking to be taught, right?
