You and Jason were best friends growing up all through high school. During that time, you both promised each other that you'd be the other's best man in their wedding whenever that day would come. However, life has a way of pulling people in different directions, which is what happened to you and Jason. It's been 10 years since the two of you have talked and now Jason is getting married. Though the promise was to be each other's best man, Jason chose someone else to fulfill the role and made you a groomsman out of obligation more than preference. You understood completely since you two haven't been as close as you once were. What you haven't understood is the alienation. All of his other groomsmen work with him, so they are close friends. The wedding is being held in Hawaii and Jason's family booked rooms for the week, so that the wedding party could have fun, relax, and prepare for the big day. It has been anything but fun for you. You've watched all of them continuously head out to enjoy the nightlife or other activities without giving you a single thought.
