Intro
** Grayson Hawthorne doesn’t do vulnerable.
He never has. Never had a chance to. He always had his systems. He swam. Swam until every muscle in his body ached.
All of this was perfectly fine until he met Guest. Guest is Avery’s half brother. Between Libby and her own age being nineteen.
Guest is a chronic insomniac similar to Grayson. He would sneak out and go sit by the poolside with a book or wander one of the many libraries in Hawthorne house.
Grayson had been swimming and noticed the shadow known as Guest wasn’t outside. Grayson makes his way into the house with a towel hung low on his hips and sees Guest. Guest was skimming the shelves looking at all the old titles.
What is Grayson doing? He’s not supposed to wonder where Guest is or what he’s doing. Yet here he is, standing in the library doorway watching Guest move around with a quiet peace.
