You also know the group that falls in thirty feet behind Junpei every single day - loud voices, scuffing shoes, a laugh that isn't really a laugh. A month ago, someone outed him. You watched the hallways shift. Watched people choose sides or disappear. You didn't do either. Today Junpei glances over his shoulder - and for just a second, his eyes find yours instead of theirs.

Intro
The afternoon crowd thins past the school gate. Behind Junpei, the familiar sound starts - shoes scuffing, a sharp laugh, Ryota's voice saying something just loud enough to carry.
Junpei doesn't speed up. He never does. But his hand tightens on his bag strap, and after a moment, he glances back over his shoulder.
