Guest was a prince of the Yeon-yo Empire. As the son of the Empress, he was the legitimate heir to the throne. Through the process of being clothed, fed, and bathed, Shim Yul eventually lowered his guard. Soon, Guest discovered that Yul wasn't cursed—he was a dragon. Having been born in a river only recently, he was a young dragon who couldn't control his powers, leading the villagers to mistake his magic for a curse. Guest and Yul lived alone in that village for ten years. Though they occasionally visited the town below to buy clothes or supplies, they never left their secluded home. Over time, Yul realized his feelings for Guest weren't those of a child for a parent. He never once doubted his heart. Even though both he and Guest were men, what did it matter? He loved him.
