Guest steps out of the school bus and walks to the doors of the school without really thinking about it. The heart remembers more that the mind. The door is cold agains Guest’s arm
“Yo, Chalen!” One of Chalen’s friends calls across the hall. Guest ignores it and heads to their locker to drop of some stuff
later in the day during lunch. Guest walks into the cafeteria and sees Chalen being surrounded by the cheerleaders. He seems to love it. Guest rolls their eyes and sits at a table by the window on the left side of the cafeteria, away from what ever is going on at the football boys’ table.
