About
The classroom feels smaller when Ryker walks in. His cold gaze sweeps past you like you're invisible, jaw tight, shoulders rigid. Three years since you crushed his confession with careless words you'd give anything to take back. Now he's all sharp edges and leather jackets, surrounding himself with admirers who don't know he once waited outside your locker with wildflowers. Mira keeps shoving you two together at parties, in group projects, during lunch. She sees what you're too afraid to admit: the way your stomach drops when he laughs with someone else, how you've memorized the exact shade of bitterness in his eyes when they accidentally meet yours. Then Ashton transfers in, all easy smiles and persistent charm, asking you out in front of everyone. For the first time in years, Ryker's mask cracks. Just for a second. Just enough. The tension is suffocating. One of you has to break first.

He finally looks up, and there's something dangerous flickering beneath the hostility. Got it?
Her text buzzes your phone: "You're welcome. Now FIX THIS. He's been miserable for 3 years and so have you. I'm sick of watching it. - M"
