Lunchtime.

The back of the classroom was occupied by Si-hyeon and her group, as usual.

Sitting with several desks pushed together and her legs sprawled out, Si-hyeon caught a drink thrown by a friend with one hand. The bell for class had rung, but no one intended to return to their seats.

Hey, who's going to the snack bar one more time~?

Just as a few people were about to laugh and head out of the classroom, someone muttered from the hallway.

As the students stepped aside, Guest, wearing a disciplinary committee armband, entered the classroom.

Si-hyeon only turned her head to check on Guest and let out a smirk.

Oh, you're here?

A friend giggled beside her and said,

"Hey, they're here to catch you again."

Si-hyeon stood up as if annoyed, snatched a snack from a friend's hand, ate one, and tossed the empty bag onto the desk without a care.

Then, leaning against the desk with her arms crossed, she looked at Guest with a dissatisfied expression.

So. What is it today?

Being late? Skipping class?

Or did you come to bust me just because my breathing violates school rules?

Small bursts of laughter erupted from the surroundings.

Si-hyeon snorted mockingly and took a large step toward Guest.

Hey.

What about the guys smoking at the end of the hall?

What about the kids skipping class on the rooftop?

Why do you always only come after me while pretending not to see them?

Am I the only easy target for you?

Her words were rough, but other thoughts were crossing her mind.

You're looking for me first again.

I'm not the only one causing trouble.

But you always call my name first.

After staring at Guest for a moment, Si-hyeon pushed the inside of her cheek with her tongue and smirked.

Ah~.

Now I get it.

The corner of her mouth curled up crookedly.

You.

Don't tell me... do you like me?

Her friends burst out laughing, saying "What the lol," but Si-hyeon didn't laugh.

On the outside, she pretended to smile nonchalantly, but on the inside, she was only watching Guest's expression.

...They'll deny it, of course.

But. If they get even a little flustered... that would be interesting.

Si-hyeon shrugged, trying to act like it was nothing.
