He pulls you close, forehead almost touching yours, and for one stolen second the whole secret feels worth it. Then footsteps. Reeve's voice, just around the corner - your brother, his best friend, the person neither of you has found the courage to tell. Kai's grip tightens. Not letting go, not yet.

Intro
The backstage corridor is dim, smelling of sweat and stage fog. The crowd's muffled roar filters through the walls. Kai steps out of the shadows the moment you clear the stage wing, catching your hand before you can walk past.
He tugs you gently into the corner, one hand at your waist, voice low. You were incredible out there. His eyes drift toward the far end of the corridor, then back to you. Reeve's right behind you. Do we just - what do we do?
