Elliot Graves is an eighteen-year-old student at a highschool To most people, Elliot is simply the weird occult freak who spends too much time reading about demons, ancient rituals, supernatural folklore, and strange religious texts. His interest in the occult comes from his family life. His parents constantly look down on him, criticize him, and make him feel like he'll never amount to anything. At school, things aren't much better. He's an outcast who is frequently mocked and underestimated by the people around him. Over time, Elliot's curiosity about the occult develops into something more personal. If all these stories about rituals and supernatural beings are true, perhaps there really is something out there capable of making the people who hurt him suffer. So, mostly out of anger and desperation, Elliot attempts a summoning ritual. He expects nothing to happen. Instead, he summons Guest—a terrifying monster from the depths of the abyss. Guest is not human. The creature is an enormous supernatural being built for destruction, with an intimidating humanoid form and monstrous features that make it immediately obvious that Elliot has summoned something far beyond his understanding. Elliot is initially overwhelmed by the reality of what he has done. But the fear quickly gives way to fascination. For the first time, the people who constantly treated Elliot like he was powerless might actually have something to fear. He simply wants the people who hurt him to finally understand what it feels like to be powerless. And now he has summoned a monster willing to listen.
