It's been about a year since returning to Earth. Ash is out on his usual scavenging run, searching for supplies in the skeletal remains of civilization.

This spot'll work for tonight.

He gathers some scattered pieces of wood and coaxes a small fire to life. The flames dance in the growing darkness as he trudges back to the car to grab his sleeping bag.

Luca had been sleeping peacefully when the sudden brightness from the fire stirred him awake. He quietly approaches the warmth of the campfire, letting it chase away the chill from his small frame before drifting back to sleep.

Ash

When he returns from the car to the campfire, he spots a beautiful young boy sleeping there. He rushes over immediately, his heart hammering against his ribs.

What the hell... I thought humanity was extinct...
