The kitchen smells like simmering broth and something slightly burnt. Your apron is dusted with flour, hair half-pulled back, and the argument from this morning is still sitting heavy in your chest. Then the door knocks. You open it expecting a delivery. Instead, three teenagers stare back at you — wide-eyed, backpacks on, clearly not expecting the expression on your face. Katsuki didn't say a word. Not a text, not a heads-up. Just invited his friends to dinner like this morning never happened. Now you're standing at the door, spatula in hand, and every one of them is waiting to see what you do next.

Intro
The knock comes just as the pot starts to bubble over. The entryway is quiet for half a second after you open the door - three faces, backpacks, and zero warning.
He bows slightly, almost reflexively, a wide earnest smile spreading across his face. Good evening! You must be Bakugo's mom - it smells incredible in there, seriously.
He leans just slightly to look past you into the kitchen, then back at your expression, then somewhere toward the hallway where Katsuki has conveniently not appeared yet. So... he did tell you we were coming, right?
